How to Run Your Europe Day Treasure Hunt?
Choose Your Treasure Hunt Mission

Europe Day Treasure Hunt – Juniors and Seniors
A highly visual treasure hunt with 10 clues! The teacher reads the questions out loud, and our youngest pupils explore the room to match spoken descriptions with printed images of European foods, flags, and everyday symbols.

Europe Day Treasure Hunt – 1st and 2nd Class
A teamwork-based adventure where younger pupils hunt for 15 stars to discover basic European greetings, member states, and cultural fun facts.

Europe Day Treasure Hunt – 3rd and 4th class
An active mission with 20 hidden stars! Pupils collaborate to identify famous European landmarks, discover fun cultural facts, and learn about the EU symbols.

Europe Day Treasure Hunt – 5th and 6th class
Our most advanced treasure hunt! Using 20 picture clues, students dive into EU geography, capitals, institutions, and the concept of active European citizenship.
A “Birthday” for Peace and Unity
On 9 May 1950, the French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman proposed a new way for European countries to work together. He wanted to make war between neighbors “not merely unthinkable, but materially impossible.”
Today, Europe Day is a celebration of that lasting peace. It’s a moment for our students to realize they belong to a big family of 27 nations, all sharing the same values of freedom, equality, and solidarity.

Europe Day Festival – Music, Values & Creativity 2023
In May 2023 and 2024, schools across Europe perform songs and creative pieces inspired by European values : freedom, equality, solidarity, and human rights.
In Ireland, pupils have even taken these performances to the stage, sharing the spirit of Europe through music, theatre, and art, a model that any school can adapt locally.

Europe Week – Celebrate Europe Day in Your Classroom
During Europe Week, teachers are invited to run fun, age-appropriate classroom activities around European themes : quizzes, creative projects, and games that bring the EU to life. All activities are ready to use and require no prior knowledge of the EU.
