Europe Week – Past Highlights

What classrooms across Europe created and shared

Every May, teachers and pupils across Europe celebrate Europe Week, a time to explore European values, history, and cooperation through creative classroom activities.
Here are some highlights, examples, and printable resources from previous years to help you plan your own Europe Week!

Creative Classrooms Celebrating Europe

Europe Week encourages teachers to use creativity and play to bring Europe to life in their classrooms.
Here are a few projects shared on our Padlet from schools across Europe — all celebrating teamwork, citizenship and cultural diversity.

We were really honoured to participate yesterday at the meeting with Mrs Jutova. After the meeting we had a debate about the European values and objectives. Thank you!

Liceul Tehnologic Dumitru Manageron

Our beautiful twins created a poster of the European Flag in the shape of hands. A sky of blue with bright shining stars.

Our students did not only say Happy Birthday Europe, they also understood the geography of our continent from the west to the east and from the north to the south.

Learn About Europe’s Founders

During Europe Week, many classes discover the people who helped shape today’s European Union, learning through art and storytelling.

Simone Veil

A survivor of Nazi concentration camps, Simone Veil became the first woman to lead the European Parliament.
Her story inspires discussions about resilience, equality, and the importance of peace in Europe.

Jean Monnet

A founding father of European unity, Jean Monnet’s vision laid the groundwork for the Schuman Declaration and the creation of the European Community.
